First, the subjects got to know the victims on Facebook, introduced them to download the Telegram social networking application to watch movies online and vote for a fee.
Next, there was a Telegram social network account that sent a friend request and a message with instructions on how to use the money-making service; the subject sent a link and instructions on how to log in to the account and access a website to watch movies and do tasks.

Through the first two voting steps, the subjects paid a small amount of money into the victim's account, making the victim trust them and continue to join the group, depositing money into the savings account.
After depositing money and completing the requirements set by the subject, the system now reports incorrect data entry and requires that if you want to withdraw money, you must deposit a data compensation amount of 36 million VND.
The reasons given by the scammers to get the victims to deposit more money. Thinking that the only way to get their money back is to deposit more money, the victims fall deeper into the scammers' trap.
In the face of the current fraud situation, the Department of Information Security ( Ministry of Information and Communications ) recommends that people need to raise their awareness of fraud and appropriation of assets. Proactively verify the identity of the subject before making a money transfer transaction.
Never share bank account numbers, OTP codes, passwords, or any sensitive information.
Do not access strange links or download applications of unknown origin. In case of suspicion of fraudulent activities, promptly notify the police for timely prevention and guidance on handling.
