Thuy Quynh (19 years old, studying in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) said that her school does not have a dress code. Students can wear whatever clothes and shoes they want. With the trend of "respecting differences", Quynh and many other female students often wear short skirts to change themselves. The pants are not ankle-length, but just above or slightly shorter than the knee.

Going to school wearing pajamas?!

She shared that many students still wear pajamas when they come to school because they don’t have time to change. Some students who are more stylish wear crop tops, tank tops, and low-rise pants to show off their butts. One day, Quynh came home from yoga and didn’t have time to change, so she quickly put on a loose shirt and went to school.

Quynh said that because she is an active student, she should wear comfortable clothes. This is also a way for her to express her personality, as long as it is not too offensive or revealing.

Ha Mi (19 years old, studying in Binh Thanh district, Ho Chi Minh City) shared that she often wears skirts to school. Actually, it is not that she is being fussy, but wearing skirts to school is very comfortable and also fast. Her school is also like a fashion show, because most of the students dress beautifully, expressing their personality through their clothes.

"I think it's better to have a diverse university, where everyone has their own style, than to have to wear the same style of clothes. My friends who study at other schools also hope that their school allows them to wear comfortable clothes.

In this day and age, you have to dress like this to be a student, and like that to not be a student. Beauty is a human right, as long as it's not too sloppy or revealing," she said.

Hanh Nhu (23 years old, working in District 3) shared: "I studied communications and worked in the communications industry. When I went to work, my boss didn't say anything when I wore whatever I wanted.

I think it's normal for students studying creative or media fields like me to wear comfortable clothes to school. That doesn't define what kind of person you are."

However, Nhu also hopes that if you wear short clothes, wear them in a subtle and polite way, because wearing too revealing clothes will also be very "showy".

Vy Nguyen said that at her school, there were times when students wore pajamas to school. She thought it was very untidy. One girl even wore a low-cut tank top, making other students' eyes flutter.

"Dressing beautifully is everyone's right, but I think girls also need to dress modestly. After all, the lecture hall is a public place, not a stage. We need to dress beautifully and gracefully," she said.

Meanwhile, Mr. LH (living in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City) said that when he was still in school, he and his male friends also liked to see girls wearing short skirts, see-through shirts, etc. However, he did not like his girlfriend to dress like that.

Dressing dynamically and comfortably is good, but don't be too different. This will unintentionally make you feel unsightly in public. I once witnessed a girl wearing clothes that were too short, so the whole day she had to cover her skirt with a jacket. This affected her studies and the studies of many people around her.

"I think in the school environment, dressing should be neat and not too revealing. Not just girls. I have also seen many boys come to school with messy hair, wearing shorts, and flip-flops... That combo looks exactly like they are going to the beach. The school respects everyone's differences, but don't be too strangely different. When you are different, you easily become the center of attention of many other people," he said.
