Gianluigi Donnarumma 's future is likely no longer tied to PSG when the 2025 summer transfer window ends - September 1.

Coach Luis Enrique decided to give the starting position to new signing Lucas Chevalier – a French goalkeeper bought from Lille for 40 million euros – removing Donnarumma from the list for the European Super Cup.

Donnarumma, whose contract runs until 2026, has not accepted an extension offer with a salary increase clause based on the number of matches and performance, while PSG does not want to keep him on the bench all season.
