Tuyet Phuong account shared: "I admit that today's youth have many ways to express their patriotism. When art is linked to history, it is no longer a simple dance performance but an epic about the glorious history of the nation."
"Rain" of compliments for impressive performance
Talking to reporters on the afternoon of June 13, Nguyen Dang Tien Anh, a student of the Faculty of Cultural Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, leader of the BIG BOOM dance club, was quite surprised at the popularity of the performance.
Tien Anh said the final night of the competition took place on the evening of June 9. Instead of using materials such as singing, dancing..., the group wanted to try a new material: dancing to recreate the glorious history of previous generations of students.
Through the performance "January Nine", the group wants to portray historical beauty not only through graceful contemporary elements but also through strong modern dance steps.

"What the group recreated in the performance is just a small piece in the overall picture of the student movement that year. It was a picture filled with the colors of fire and smoke when the Faculty of Arts students in the most brilliant days of their energetic youth "took to the streets" to fight, creating a wave of widespread influence" - Tien Anh confided.
To have a great performance in the final night, the group practiced tirelessly from 6pm to midnight, continuously for 1 month. The group leader said that keeping the spirit of the 30 members was the most important thing.
