Coach Ruben Amorim's future at Man Utd continues to be the center of attention after the heavy 0-3 loss to Man City at Etihad Stadium on the evening of September 14. However, according to many sources from England, club co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe still has no intention of making changes to the Red Devils' coaching bench.

Last summer, Man Utd spent more than 200 million pounds to strengthen a series of attacking stars such as Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo or Benjamin Sesko. These expensive contracts were expected to revive the attack. However, Man Utd still played deadlocked and weak. They did not have many options to approach the opponent's goal.

Since replacing Ten Hag in November last year, Amorim has only won eight of his 31 Premier League games. The club has just had their worst start in the Premier League era, with just four points from four games.

Despite the poor results, the 40-year-old strategist affirmed that he will not change his football philosophy. He declared: "I will not change the philosophy. If they want to change, they have to change on the coaching bench."

This statement immediately sparked speculation about his future at Old Trafford, especially in the context of increasing pressure to fire coach Amorim.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Man Utd owners Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the Glazer Amorim family have decided to be patient with the case of coach Amorim, who has a contract until 2027. A close source even expressed surprise that his position has not really been put in a state of alarm.

Sky Sports also revealed that Sir Jim Ratcliffe still has faith in Amorim, but is still capable of firing the Portuguese strategist if the situation does not improve.

Journalist Kaveh Solhekol commented: “If they continue to play like this, they will most likely finish in the bottom half of the table, like last season. And if that scenario happens, INEOS (headed by Sir Jim Ratcliffe) can absolutely make the decision to change the coach, like they did with coach Ten Hag last November when the team finished 14th.”
