iPhone Air price reduced for the first time since its launch in Vietnam

(Dan Tri) - The 512GB iPhone Air is on sale for 38 million VND, a 500,000 VND reduction from Apple's listed price. The 1TB version is reduced by 1 million VND, down to 44 million VND.

On September 19, the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air product lines were officially launched in the Vietnamese market. After about 2 weeks, some authorized Apple dealers began adjusting the selling price of the iPhone Air model.

Specifically, the 512GB iPhone Air is being offered for VND38 million, a VND500,000 reduction from Apple's listed price. The 1TB version is being reduced by VND1 million, down to VND44 million. Meanwhile, the 256GB version remains unchanged.

In contrast to the out-of-stock situation of the iPhone 17 Pro Max, the supply of the iPhone Air is relatively adequate. According to dealers, the number of users interested in the iPhone Air product line is not much compared to the iPhone 17 versions.

"Currently, the number of customers ordering iPhone Air accounts for about 6% of the total number of orders for the new generation iPhone lines. Although the rate is not high, this is still a remarkable number for a completely new model in Apple's product portfolio," said a representative of Minh Tuan Mobile.

The iPhone Air is a completely new product line from Apple. The device is positioned as a replacement for the iPhone Plus product line, which has not achieved much success in the past.

Initial statistics from dealers show that the purchasing power of iPhone Air in the Vietnamese market has good prospects, exceeding expectations when compared to previous iPhone Plus versions.

"Compared to the iPhone 16 Plus, the purchasing power of the iPhone Air has increased significantly. This product impresses with its super-thin design, lightweight titanium frame and powerful A19 chip," said Ms. Van Thi Ngoc Yen, Apple product line director at Di Dong Viet.

The iPhone Air is known as the thinnest iPhone ever created by Apple. It uses a lightweight and durable titanium frame. Apple also equipped it with Ceramic Shield 2 coating to increase scratch resistance.

In return, the device only integrates a 48MP camera on the back. Meanwhile, most high-end smartphone models are now equipped with multi-camera systems for a more versatile photography experience.

In addition, due to the extremely thin design, Apple also had to remove the physical SIM tray on the iPhone Air to have more space for other components. The product only supports eSIM.
