Mason Greenwood can bring 'a lot of money' in transfer fees to MU

If Mason Greenwood leaves Marseille next summer, MU will benefit greatly thanks to the resale clause that will receive 50% of the transfer fee in the future.

The English striker joined Marseille last summer for a total fee of 26.6 million pounds. In the agreement, MU included a clause to receive 50% of the resale value.

This means that if Greenwood leaves Marseille, MU will receive a significant transfer fee.

In recent days, there has been information that Barcelona is closely monitoring Mason Greenwood's performance.

TBR Football said that scouts from the Catalan team sat in the stands to "watch" the English striker during Marseille's 6-2 victory over Le Havre.

Greenwood made a strong impression when scoring 4/6 goals for the port city team. Barca scouts highly appreciated his ability and will recommend him to the board of directors to promote recruitment.

The Nou Camp team is on loan at Rashford from MU and is preparing to make an offer to buy him. If Greenwood is brought in, the two strikers will be reunited, after playing together at Old Trafford.

Transfermarkt valued Greenwood at €40m (£34.8m) in the most recent transfer window, a figure that could rise depending on the player's form.

If Marseille sells the 24-year-old striker for the above fee, the Manchester team will pocket 17.4 million pounds from the resale clause.

This additional cash will play a useful role in helping MU be more comfortable in buying new players and strengthening the squad.
