Warmly welcoming Mr. Kover Laszlo leading a high-ranking delegation of the Hungarian National Assembly on an official visit to Vietnam, President Luong Cuong assessed the visit as having important significance in the context that this year Vietnam and Hungary celebrate the 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations (1950-2025).
The President affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to and wishes to strengthen cooperation with Hungary, a top priority partner and Vietnam's first comprehensive partner in Central Eastern Europe.
Hungarian National Assembly Speaker Kover Laszlo expressed his delight at the positive developments in Vietnam-Hungary relations in all areas. In particular, economy and trade continue to be a bright spot in bilateral relations with two-way trade turnover from 2020-2024 at about 1 billion USD per year./.
