On the afternoon of September 26, the My Son World Heritage Management Board held a consultation and networking session with travel agencies in the city to announce promotional programs to attract visitors to My Son (Thu Bon commune). In particular, they sought opinions on adjusting My Son ticket prices in the near future.

According to the My Son World Heritage Management Board, the entrance fee to My Son Temple Complex was implemented more than 10 years ago (2014). Specifically, the entrance fee to My Son Temple Complex for Vietnamese visitors is 100,000 VND/person, and for foreign visitors is 150,000 VND/person (issued by the People's Council of the former Quang Nam province).

This ticket price includes: entrance fee (40,000 VND), service fee (60,000 VND) for Vietnamese visitors. Similar to foreign visitors, including entrance fee 40,000 VND, service fee 110,000 VND (transfer, security, environmental sanitation, Cham folk arts, general management...).

Mr. Nguyen Cong Khiet, Deputy Director in charge of the My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board, said that after 10 years of application, the ticket price is no longer suitable when socio -economic conditions and costs for management, restoration, preservation of relics, and personnel have all changed to ensure product quality.

In addition, the unit also performs tasks assigned by the State such as: paying taxes, fees, supporting local communities, investing in landscape and heritage conservation, etc.

“If 10 years ago, visitors to My Son temple complex only took about 1 hour, now it has increased to more than 2 hours, because there are many attractive products and services such as: visiting My Son Museum, electric car transfer service, experiencing Cham brocade weaving, Cham pottery making, conical hat making, singing Bai Choi, especially Cham dance performance with 7 shows a day...

In the short term, adjusting ticket prices for Vietnamese visitors to be equal to international visitors is appropriate, needs to be studied and a more advanced plan can be considered. However, this must be implemented according to a roadmap, and when the time is ripe, it will be implemented,” said Mr. Nguyen Cong Khiet.

At the seminar, many businesses said that adjusting ticket prices higher than the current level is necessary because the products and services in My Son are unique and attractive; in addition, more resources should be created for the My Son Management Board to reinvest in development.

Mr. Le Tan Thanh Tung, Director of Vitraco Travel, said that compared to some tourist destinations in the Central region such as Hue or Phong Nha (Quang Tri), My Son's price is too low, while the products and services are very rich and unique, so the increase in ticket prices is reasonable, and businesses will support it. "I think the price should increase uniformly by 200,000 VND/person," Mr. Thanh Tung suggested.

On this occasion, the My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board also announced a promotion program with policy packages for travel companies, group guests, students, etc. at many levels depending on the time of year.

Through 9 months of 2025, the total number of visitors to My Son is estimated to be
reached over 353,000 arrivals, up 4.2% over the same period. Of which, foreign visitors are estimated at nearly 317,000 arrivals, up 4% over the same period, Vietnamese visitors are estimated at over 36,000 arrivals, total revenue reached over 57 billion VND (of which ticket revenue reached over 51 billion VND, sales service revenue reached over 5.7 billion VND, explanation revenue reached 178 million VND).
