Nguyen Canh Tung is a 9A student at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. He attracted attention with a score of 10 in specialized math in the entrance exam for specialized schools organized by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training.

Tung's wish is to enter the specialized math block of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. With a total score of 47.75, he is 8.75 points higher than the admission standard score of this block.

Sharing about his impressive exam results, Canh Tung said he felt happy, but also considered himself somewhat lucky. The humble male student admitted that his studies were "very average". His 10 points in specialized math in the entrance exam to a specialized school will be the motivation for him to continue to try harder during his high school years.

Tung's goal in the coming years is to focus on studying math, so that he can participate in the national math competition.

In addition, I will spend more time learning foreign languages, playing sports , developing soft skills, improving life skills, to prepare for bigger goals in the future.

Tung said that every day, he spends a lot of time on self-study. Before the transfer exam, he only went to extra math and literature classes, the total number of extra classes per week fluctuated from 3-4 sessions. In addition, he focused on spending time on self-study, creating mind maps to organize and systematize his knowledge.

Tung values ​​comfort and joy in the learning process. When he encounters a difficult problem, if he cannot think of a solution even after sitting and thinking about it for nearly half an hour, he will stop to do something else, then return to the difficult problem after he feels more comfortable.

Tung realizes that everything only achieves the best results when we do it in a comfortable state of mind. For him, the effective learning method is to find a balance, not too stressed, not too pressured.

Talking about his love for math, Tung said he realized he loved math since grade 3. He considers himself lucky because throughout his journey of learning from primary school, he has always met teachers who gave him the motivation to learn math, helping him increase his love for math over time.

During his studies, Tung did not set himself too high goals. He did not want to put pressure on himself. He believed that setting goals was to encourage himself to improve every day.

Therefore, I avoid setting goals that are too big, then make myself feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and lose the simple joy of studying. Tung likes to break big goals into small goals, slowly achieve each small goal and get closer to his dreams.

In addition, in order not to feel pressured in studying, Tung focuses on spending time playing sports regularly. He believes that finding fun for himself is very important for a good, balanced development. Tung loves basketball, he plays basketball quite well and has been called to the team of some basketball clubs for teenagers.

Tung said he wants to develop himself comprehensively: study well, play sports well, have diverse soft skills, have good life skills, and know how to manage in many situations.

The teenager said that through each stage, he set goals for himself to practice certain skills. Currently, he practices cooking and programming skills. He considers practicing multiple skills a pleasure in the journey to adulthood.

As a student in a math class with all good students, Tung said he and his classmates were taught about healthy competition early on by homeroom teacher Nguyen Dac Thang.
