This year, in addition to peach trees, Mr. Le Ngoc Thang (living in Vinh city) imported 5 more whole persimmon trees (old Hai Hau variety) from Nam Dinh province to sell at 2 locations in Vinh city. Mr. Thang said that the persimmon trees are all 30 - 40 years old, selling for 50 - 100 million VND/tree depending on size; the rental price is 2/3 of the selling price.

“The Hai Hau ancient rose variety is usually more expensive than other varieties of the same type, due to limited supply and more careful and elaborate care techniques to produce fruit. In the past few days, many customers have visited and asked about the price,” Mr. Thang shared.

This ancient rose tree was sold by Mr. Thang for 65 million VND.

Three persimmon trees were placed by Mr. Thang in his garden on Highway 46 (Nghi An Commune, Vinh City). Among them, there is an ancient persimmon tree over 4m high, with hundreds of fruits that he sold for 100 million VND.

The fruit-laden branches symbolize abundance, the orange-red color of the fruit symbolizes good luck on Tet holiday.

According to Mr. Thang, persimmon is a feng shui plant, a symbol of prosperity, and can be grown until the second lunar month without requiring elaborate care. However, attention should be paid to soil nutrition, because persimmon is a plant that likes open air, with fine roots that need space to grow and easily absorb water and nutrients.
