Dong Nai Education and Training Sector is ready to enter the new school year

(DN) - On the morning of August 26, the Department of Education and Training of Dong Nai province held a conference to summarize the 2024-2025 school year and deploy tasks for the 2025-2026 school year. The conference was connected online with 1,200 educational institutions across the province.

According to the summary report of the Department of Education and Training, the province's high school graduation rate in 2025 reached 98.38%, a very encouraging result in the context of the first year of high school graduation exams according to the 2018 General Education Program. Notably, at the national excellent student exam in the 2024-2025 school year, the province's students won 117 prizes. Vocational education is focused on, closely linked with the human resource needs of key projects, including the Human Resource Training Project to serve Long Thanh International Airport.

Immediately after the Politburo's policy in Conclusion Notice No. 81-TB/TW dated July 18, 2025 on investing in building schools in border communes, the Department of Education and Training proactively surveyed and prepared conditions for early investment in building schools for border communes, demonstrating a consistent view of not leaving any student behind.

Speaking at the conference, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang highly appreciated the results that the education and training sector of the whole province has achieved in the 2024-2025 school year, and affirmed that those results will be a solid foundation to continue developing the province's education in the new period.

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang emphasized: The 2025-2026 school year is of special importance, as it is the year to continue to widely implement the 2018 General Education Program in the final grades, and at the same time is the first school year to implement the tuition-free policy for high school students nationwide, a historic policy, demonstrating the superiority of the Party and State.

In order for the new school year 2025-2026 to achieve higher goals, the provincial People's Committee leader suggested that the education and training sector strengthen career orientation and stream students after secondary school in a practical and effective manner. In particular, it is necessary to concentrate all resources to realize the policy of investing in education for border areas, considering this a strategic task, associated with socio-economic development and protecting national sovereignty. Prioritizing political education, ideology, ethics, lifestyle, and life skills for students, while building a truly clean and healthy school culture and pedagogical environment.

Equipping both teachers and students with digital skills, turning technology into a powerful tool to innovate teaching and learning methods, improving the quality of education.
