On September 26, according to information from the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho, the Department has just issued Document No. 1246 on strengthening the management of food hygiene and safety, organizing boarding and safety in caring for and nurturing children at preschools.
According to the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho province, after the province's merger, the preschool education system continued to expand in scale, with a widespread network and diverse public and private types; the rate of mobilizing children to go to school reached a high level, a clear increase compared to the previous period; and firmly maintained universal preschool education for 5-year-olds.
The whole province currently has 1,120 facilities, including over 700 schools and over 410 private independent groups/classes.
Currently, preschool education facilities in the province have effectively implemented the preschool education program according to regulations, in which the organization of boarding, care and nurturing of children has achieved many positive results.
Many units have proactively built reasonable menus, ensuring nutrition and safety, contributing to children's physical development and creating trust with parents and society.
However, in recent times, in the whole country in general and Phu Tho province in particular, there are still some issues that the press and public opinion have reflected, such as the use of milk and food that has not been strictly controlled, affecting the trust of young parents and the reputation of educational institutions.
To improve the quality of organizing boarding meals, care and nurturing, at the same time rectify and prevent unfortunate incidents that may occur and ensure absolute safety for children at preschool education facilities, the Department recommends that the People's Committees of communes and wards strengthen inspection and supervision of food hygiene and safety, school safety and safety in nurturing and caring for children at preschool education facilities according to decentralization...
The Department of Education and Training requires preschool education facilities to thoroughly grasp and enhance the sense of responsibility of cadres, teachers and employees in organizing and implementing boarding, care and nurturing work for children.
Strictly implement the provisions of the law on food hygiene and safety in the entire process: Selecting, importing, preserving, processing and organizing meals for children; reviewing and adjusting the limited, unreasonable and unsafe stages; promptly handling according to authority and reporting to management agencies and local authorities when detecting unsafe risks or incidents.
Principals and owners of preschools are responsible for the quality, origin and safety of nutritional supplements for children when used at school.
