On the afternoon of October 21, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province Le Van Su said that the "Ca Mau Crab Festival - 2nd time in 2025" with the theme "Ca Mau Crab: Forest scent - Sea taste" will officially take place from November 16 to 22.

The event is expected not only to contribute to promoting and enhancing the Ca Mau Crab brand but also to introduce the unique culinary cultural values and OCOP products of the province.
The series of activities within the framework of the festival is diverse and attractive, including exhibition space, trade exhibitions, forums, specialized seminars, and many unique cultural, sports and tourism activities.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau province, preparations are being urgently completed, including: Plan to organize the Southern Amateur Music Festival; Culinary space to perform crab dishes, sightseeing tours and the Ca Mau Marathon 2025.
In particular, the launching event “Hello Ca Mau” held in Ho Chi Minh City from November 13-15 will spread the attraction of the festival.
According to Mr. Le Van Su, the festival is not only an occasion to honor typical products but also demonstrates the local vision of sustainable development and international integration. Through the above event, Ca Mau wishes to affirm its brand, spread the value and enhance the position of crab, which is the pride of the southernmost land of the Fatherland.

In Ca Mau, crab is second only to shrimp, one of the two main aquatic products of the province, and has been granted a geographical indication certificate, an important legal tool to manage and promote the brand in domestic and foreign markets.
With suitable soil and water resources, by 2024, the province's crab farming area will reach 252,000 hectares with an output of more than 25,200 tons. Ca Mau aims to become the largest crab farming center in the country, striving to reach a total output of about 40,000 tons by 2030.

To realize this goal, finding a stable output is the key factor. Recently, nearly 20 cooperatives have signed a cooperation agreement to purchase “Ca Mau Crab” with Thanh Nien Global Trading Joint Stock Company, a strategic step to meet the needs of major export markets such as China, Singapore..., contributing to gradually completing the production chain of the crab industry.
Besides the economic value, this Ca Mau Crab Festival is also a foundation to position the tourism brand in the homeland's northernmost land in a peaceful direction, in harmony with nature.

Ca Mau possesses a diverse ecosystem with nearly 150,000 hectares of forest recognized by UNESCO as a World Biosphere Reserve, along with attractive destinations such as Ca Mau Cape National Tourist Area and U Minh Ha National Park. This is a solid foundation for developing unique, non-duplicated tourism products that have strong appeal to visitors.
