On the evening of August 10, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team had a historic victory over Thailand to win the SEA V.League for the first time.

In set 1, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team started the game with great enthusiasm, leading 3-0. But then Thailand quickly recovered to tie the score 3-3.

This was also the set where the Vietnamese girls made many mistakes in the first step. Therefore, they could not develop coherently. Bich Tuyen was still the rare bright spot, but she alone could not carry the home team. Thailand had a clear victory 25-17 in set 1.

In the second set, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team played better. Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet boldly adjusted some positions, helping the team's play to be more coherent. At one point, they created a gap of 18-13.

However, a series of errors saw them level the gap.

The two teams entered a long tug-of-war and in the end Thailand was still the winning team with a score of 26-24.

Leading to 2 easy sets, the "big sister" of Southeast Asia slowed down a lot in set 3. On the side of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet made an important decision when replacing Nguyen Thi Uyen with Vi Thi Nhu Quynh.

This adjustment was most effective, as the Nghe An native both caught the first step and attacked better. Thanks to that, the Vietnamese team won 25-17 in this set.

From then on, their spirits rose even higher. Vi Thi Nhu Quynh continued to be trusted and still shone at the right time. This time, she also did well in her blocking role to bring home the points. Meanwhile, Bich Tuyen still maintained her impressive attacking ability to bring home the 25-22 victory, bringing the match to the deciding set 5.

Faced with this historic opportunity, the Vietnamese girls played with great determination. Not only Bich Tuyen, the rest of the girls also tried their best, especially in defense. Thanks to that, they created a score of 13-10.

Thailand still played well to tie the score at 13-13. But then, the home team tried to play at their best. Bich Tuyen's unstoppable smash brought the decisive point, helping the Vietnamese women's volleyball team win 16-14.

With an unbelievable 16-14 comeback, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's team became the first team to overthrow Thailand to win the SEA V.League.
