According to the locals, the water level started to recede last night, and people stayed up all night cleaning up. This morning, things are stable but still very messy.

Many wardrobes and furniture were damaged by the water, forcing people to throw them away. Garbage piled up right at the beginning of the street. "My family's wardrobes were damaged by the water for so long that they had to be thrown away. Now I keep whatever is usable and try to clean up the house," Mr. Chien shared.

Many items are damaged by being soaked in water for too long.

The water receded, leaving behind a large amount of mud and garbage, causing people to spend a lot of effort cleaning up.

In Phuc Tan ward this morning, people and the residential group cleaned up together after the flood.

“The days of flooding have completely turned people’s lives upside down. Some people climbed up to the second floor, leaving their belongings submerged in water,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong (a resident of Phuc Tan ward).

Many areas in Phuc Tan ward were flooded, damaging many household items.

On Chuong Duong Do street, people took their belongings outside to wash and swept mud out of their houses.

A family sits down to rest after 8 hours of cleaning. "My family moved to another place so when we returned, there was a lot of mud and dirt. It took a long time to clean up. Luckily, there was no damage," said Nguyen Anh Dung (Chuong Duong Do).

Some families have finished cleaning their houses, waiting to welcome the elderly and children home.

By noon on September 13, some families had basically completed the cleanup work.

People in small alleys actively pick up trash on the water surface and in sewers.

A representative of the People's Committee of Chuong Duong Ward said that this morning the People's Committee of the Ward mobilized all forces from mass organizations such as the Fatherland Front , Youth Union, residential groups... to support people in cleaning up garbage and mud.

Schools are also given priority for cleaning to welcome students back soon.

Power workers are on duty, checking power lines and connecting electricity to households.
