A 59-year-old woman in Phu Tho suffered a brain hemorrhage at midnight from a symptom many Vietnamese people have.

GĐXH - A patient with a sudden cerebral hemorrhage experienced a severe headache, accompanied by nausea and vomiting of food at 3 a.m.

Recently, doctors at Hung Vuong General Hospital said they had received and successfully performed ventricular drainage surgery on a 59-year-old female patient in Phu Tho with severe cerebellar hemorrhage.

The incident occurred at around 3am on October 14th, the patient suddenly had a severe headache, accompanied by nausea and vomiting of food. The condition became more serious with signs of increased irritation, causing the family to be extremely worried. The patient was taken to a local hospital for examination by his family.

Here, the patient underwent a CT scan of the brain and was found to have a cerebral hemorrhage . Despite treatment, the patient's condition did not improve but instead became increasingly tired, lethargic, and showed signs of decreased consciousness. Worried that the condition would worsen, the family decided to transfer the patient to Hung Vuong General Hospital.

On the way to the hospital, the patient was intubated and ventilated with a bag to maintain respiration. Upon arrival at Hung Vuong General Hospital, the patient continued to be sedated and ventilated with a bag. CT scan results showed bleeding in the cerebellar parenchyma, causing ventricular dilation.

After consultation, the doctors agreed on a ventricular drainage surgery plan to address the condition of ventricular dilatation due to cerebellar hemorrhage.

The ventricular drainage surgery was performed successfully, helping to reduce pressure on the brain and improve the patient's condition. The ventricular drainage was removed after 2 weeks. The patient is now fully conscious, has had his tracheostomy removed, and can communicate and perform basic personal activities. The patient was discharged and continued to be monitored at home.

Through the above case, people need to be more aware of the importance of detecting and treating early signs of stroke and cerebral hemorrhage. If you see a relative with symptoms such as severe headache, nausea and vomiting, you need to take the patient to a medical facility for timely examination and treatment.
