According to Mr. Giang, at the time of the incident, he and his friends were at the supermarket when they discovered a wallet dropped on the ground. At that time, the group called the police to find the owner of the wallet.

Not long after, a police officer showed up and directed Giang’s group of friends to the cashier to hand in the wallet. The process took only 30 minutes.

"The police and the cashier thanked us a lot. They asked if we needed the owner to thank us or send us money as a reward. We replied that we didn't need it and just wanted to find the owner of the wallet as quickly as possible. That's the right thing to do, others would do the same," said Giang.

Having worked in Japan as a trainee for more than 2 years, Mr. Giang shared that the lives of Vietnamese workers are facing many difficulties. The reason is the falling yen and the general economic difficulties, leading to the salary being only enough to cover expenses, not sending much back to the family like before.

"This period is still full of difficulties, I and many other compatriots can only try to live frugally. In addition, we also try to do many actions to spread positive energy like above to make life easier," Giang confided.

The clip posted by Mr. Giang has attracted hundreds of thousands of views and thousands of interactions. Many people think that this is a beautiful act, scoring points in the eyes of foreigners about the good qualities of Vietnamese people.

NK account commented: "Previously, I also picked up a wallet on the subway in Japan. I returned it to an old lady who was the owner of the wallet, and she bought me a bunch of grapes to eat and thanked me profusely. At that time, I felt happy to leave a good impression on the locals and felt more confident when going out."

HV account shared: "This is a worthy action and should be widely spread. I once dropped my wallet in Japan and got it back a few days later. When I opened the wallet, I found that nothing was missing inside. That is a civility that everyone should learn."
