Speaking at the festival, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Do Minh Sang informed that in the first 5 months of 2025, An Giang province had 121 traffic accidents, killing 74 people and injuring 57 people; an increase of 9 cases, 5 deaths and 1 injury compared to the same period in 2024.
On that basis, the Deputy Secretary of An Giang Provincial Youth Union affirmed that the Youth Festival with Traffic Culture Program in 2025 aims to contribute to propagating and disseminating legal regulations on traffic safety; raising awareness and compliance with legal regulations on traffic; instructing safe driving skills for traffic participants, especially young people.
“The Provincial Youth Union hopes that each young person attending the festival will raise their awareness and responsibility, participate in traffic with a “warm heart and a cool head” to join hands in building a friendly, civilized and humane traffic society. We hope that units will continue to strongly and widely deploy activities to contribute to ensuring traffic order and safety and consider it one of the key tasks in the coming time” - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Do Minh Sang emphasized.
The Youth Day with Traffic Culture Program 2025 takes place with the following activities: Training on knowledge and skills of safe driving for union members and youth; launching a parade to propagate participation in ensuring traffic order and safety on the roads in Long Xuyen City.
