As rich as the children of tycoons: Spending hundreds of billions of dong to buy stocks

(Dan Tri) - The son of Mr. Duc, the two daughters of VPBank's vice president, the son of SeABank's vice president... made large transactions buying and selling company shares.

The stock market is considered to be in a "big wave", many stocks have increased sharply recently. Some large-cap stocks have reached a 3-year peak, even the highest ever. The average trading value per session in August reached about 50,000 billion VND.

In this context, children of many business leaders also registered to trade company shares.

For example, Mr. Doan Hoang Nam - son of Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc (Bau Duc), Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hoang Anh Gia Lai (stock code: HAG) - bought 52 million HAG shares twice in a row in the second half of August by negotiation.

The transaction value reached more than VND821 billion, turning Mr. Nam from a related person into a shareholder of the company led by his father, with an ownership ratio of 4.92%.

On the contrary, Mr. Duc agreed to sell 25 million HAG shares during the time Mr. Nam made the transaction, reducing his ownership ratio to 28.84% of capital.

At Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank - VPBank (stock code: VPB), Ms. Bui Cam Thi and Ms. Bui Hai Ngan, the two daughters of Mr. Bui Hai Quan - Vice President of the bank, both successfully purchased 20 million shares each. The execution time is from August 25 to August 27 by order matching or negotiation method.

With an average price of about VND33,700/share, it is estimated that Ms. Ngan and Ms. Thi spent about VND674 billion each to make the above transaction. After the transaction, Ms. Ngan and Ms. Thi both own 0.25% of VPBank's capital.

At MSB (stock code: MSB), Mr. Pham Anh Quan - nephew of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors Nguyen Hoang An - registered to sell 605,000 shares from September 5 to September 29. With a price range of about 18,250 VND/share this morning (September 4), Mr. Quan's transaction value is estimated at about 11 billion VND.

At SeABank , Mr. Le Tuan Anh - son of Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, the bank's permanent vice president - registered to sell 3 million shares. The transaction period is from August 22 to September 19. With a price of about VND21,300/unit, the above transaction is expected to bring in nearly VND64 billion.

At the same time, in the opposite direction, Ms. Nga also registered to buy 3 million SSB shares to increase her ownership ratio to 4.22% of capital.
