Many Northern medical schools recruit hundreds of additional students.

Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy recruits 210 additional students in the fields of Medicine (80 more students), Dentistry (10 students), Pharmacy (40 students), Nursing (60 students), and Medical Laboratory Technology (20 students).

Admission is based on high school graduation exam scores and academic records. Application deadline is from September 8 to 5:00 p.m. September 14.

Specific school application threshold:

If based on academic records, candidates applying for Medicine, Pharmacy, and Dentistry need to have excellent 12th grade academic performance or a graduation score of 8 or higher, along with one of the following certificates: IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT 65, DEFL B1 or higher.

For the Medical Laboratory Technology and Nursing majors, the requirement is a good grade 12 result or a graduation score of 6.5 or higher. Nursing majors consider candidates who have graduated from high school in the past three years, the remaining majors only consider candidates who have graduated this year based on their academic records.

Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine also announced to recruit 33 more students for the Medical major with the following combinations: B00 (Math, Biology, Chemistry), D08 (Math, Biology, Foreign Language), A02 (Math, Biology, Physics), X14 (Math, Biology, IT), B03 (Math, Biology, Literature). The admission score is from 24.25 points.

Candidates submit before 5:00 p.m. on September 10.

Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy recruits 130 additional students for three majors: Preventive Medicine, Nursing, and Medical Laboratory Technology. The admission score is 17-19.5:

Candidates submit their applications to the school's Training Management Department by 5:00 p.m. on September 18.

Previously, Hanoi Medical University announced the recruitment of 80 additional students for the Social Work major. This is a new major this year and also the first time the school has had to recruit additional students in decades.

According to Hanoi Medical University, additional admission targets are candidates nationwide who have graduated from high school.

The admission method is based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam. The admission combinations include A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology), B08 (Math, Biology, English). The threshold for receiving application documents is 17 points.

Candidates wishing to enter the school must submit their applications by 4:00 p.m. on September 12.

Not only many medical schools have additional admissions, many schools also have additional admissions for hot majors such as: Information Technology, E-commerce, Medicine, Dentistry, Economic Law, Computer Science to give candidates more opportunities to be admitted to university.

Immediately after the announcement of the benchmark scores, northern universities such as Vietnam-Japan University, Business Administration - National University (Hanoi National University),... began to consider recruiting hundreds of additional students.

Vietnam-Japan University, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, is enrolling nearly 320 additional students for the following majors: Computer Science and Engineering, Semiconductor Chip Engineering Technology, Intelligent Control and Automation, Intelligent Mechatronics and Japanese-style Manufacturing, Food Technology and Health, Smart and Sustainable Agriculture, Construction Engineering, Innovation and Global Development.

The school considers admission based on the following methods: Considering the 2025 high school graduation exam scores, Considering the results of the Competency Assessment exam by Hanoi National University, Considering SAT results, Considering competency profiles (profile assessment and interview).

The School of Business and Management, Vietnam National University, Hanoi announced the additional admission benchmark for the school's majors. In particular, the majors of Administration and Security, Non-traditional Security Management, Customer Service Management and Health Care all have the additional admission benchmark of 19.

The Business Administration and Technology major has a benchmark score of 19.5, the Human Resources and Talent Management major has an additional benchmark score of 20.5.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Education has just announced that it plans to open an additional admission round for 7 regular university training majors in 2025. The time to receive applications for the additional round is from 8:00 on September 3 to 17:00 on September 16.

Additional admission majors include: Educational technology (20 targets), Russian language (30 targets), French language (30 targets), Japanese language (50 targets), Korean language (50 targets), international studies (20 targets), and information technology (30 targets).
