The highest industry group is not less than 28 points

Based on the 2024 high school graduation exam score distribution and the TSA thinking assessment exam, as well as based on the trend of candidates' registration wishes, the Admissions and Career Guidance Board of Hanoi University of Science and Technology has created an outline to predict the benchmark scores for 64 training programs of Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

Accordingly, with the method based on the 2024 high school graduation exam scores, the most attractive major group will have a standard score of no less than 28, the lowest major group will have a score range like every year, around over 20 points.

The group of majors that are expected to have the highest predicted benchmark scores belongs to the field of information technology with majors: computer science (IT1), computer engineering (IT2), data science and artificial intelligence (IT-E10). For many years now, the predicted benchmark scores of this group of majors have always been among the highest at Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

The industry groups with the lowest predicted benchmark scores are in the range of 20 - 22.75 points, including environmental engineering (EV1), natural resources and environmental management (EV2), materials science and engineering (MS-E3), and textile technology (TX1). The 2024 forecast for these industries has a slight increase compared to the 2023 forecast of 0.75 points.

Predicted benchmark scores for both methods based on 2024 high school graduation exam scores and thinking assessment test scores of 64 training programs are as follows:

Hanoi University of Science and Technology also sets a common minimum score threshold for admission applications for all training programs of 20.

It is known that in 2024, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will recruit 9,260 students by 3 methods, including: talent selection (about 20%); selection based on thinking assessment test results (about 30%); selection based on 2024 high school graduation exam scores (about 50%).
