- 227 teachers participated in the Primary School Teacher Competition in Ca Mau province
- 214 teachers achieved the title of excellent primary school teachers in the 2024-2025 school year
Having dreamed of becoming a teacher since childhood, Ms. Le Thi Anh Thu (41 years old, resident of Tan Thanh ward) grew up in a family that valued knowledge. The inspirational lessons during primary school sowed in her heart the seeds of a teaching career, a beautiful and lasting dream. In 2006, after completing the pedagogical program, she officially entered the profession, carrying with her the aspiration to serve. Having been with Phan Ngoc Hien Primary School for nearly 10 years, she has not only matured professionally but also become a close companion of students and parents.
Ms. Le Thi Anh Thu focuses on innovating teaching methods, taking students as the center.
As for Ms. La Thi Thu Huong (42 years old, from Song Doc commune), the teaching profession is like a source flowing in her veins. Born into a family of more than 50 people working in the teaching profession, from her parents to her aunts, uncles, cousins, Ms. Huong grew up amidst night school sessions, lesson plans and love for her students. Since middle school, she has helped her mother tutor children in the neighborhood, thereby nurturing the simple joy of helping someone learn to read and write. Growing up, without much consideration, she chose pedagogy as a predetermined path.
The digital age brings many opportunities but also requires teachers to constantly learn and innovate. According to Ms. Anh Thu, applying smart technology is the key to making lessons more lively and effective. She often uses AI-integrated software in teaching Vietnamese and Math. Thanks to that, students are more proactive in learning, developing critical thinking and teamwork skills. With 5th grade students, the transition age, she always focuses on cultivating a solid foundation in both knowledge and life skills.
Ms. Huong has the strength in organizing practical experience activities. She believes: " Education today is not only about imparting knowledge, but also about teaching students how to learn, how to live and think independently." The extracurricular activities and field trips organized by her are always expected by students, because they bring practical experiences, helping them to be bolder in communication and confidently express themselves. With 5 consecutive years of achieving the title of excellent teacher at the city and provincial levels, Ms. Huong is a typical face in the school's emulation movement.

Mr. Tran Hai Vu, Vice Principal of Phan Ngoc Hien Primary School, shared: “Both Ms. Anh Thu and Ms. Thu Huong are dedicated teachers, always proactive in innovation in their profession. Their lessons are engaging, lively, and students absorb them well. They are also the backbone of the school's professional activities, ready to support their colleagues in lesson preparation and competition.”
In addition to teaching, the two teachers also play the role of “inspirers” for the young teachers. They regularly support the design of illustrative lessons, guide colleagues in preparing lesson plans using new methods, and contribute to building a positive and humane educational environment in the school.
Teaching is a long journey of love and patience. For Ms. Anh Thu and Ms. Thu Huong, the greatest reward is not in titles or certificates, but in the daily growth of students, from knowledge to personality. Many parents were moved when talking about the two teachers: "Not only do they help their children study better, but they also teach them to be polite, to share and to live responsibly." These are lasting values, the deep impression that teachers leave on the journey of "sowing letters".
Ms. Le Thi Anh Thu and Ms. La Thi Thu Huong received certificates of merit for the title of Excellent Primary School Teachers of Ca Mau province in 2025.
At Phan Ngoc Hien Primary School today, those two teachers are still quietly absorbed in each page of books and each lesson. They are not only the silent “ferrymen”, but also the ones who inspire and support generations of students on their journey to conquer knowledge and maturity.
