Bustling Mid-Autumn Festival in Quach Pham

Although the weather in Ca Mau is not favorable, Ben Bao Primary School, Quach Pham Commune is still bustling like a festival. More than 430 children eagerly participated in the program "Happy Mid-Autumn Festival with Children" organized by the Commune People's Committee in coordination with Saigon Kitchen ( Ho Chi Minh City).

Despite the heavy rain, the children still eagerly went to the Mid-Autumn Festival.

The children enjoyed delicious meals, received moon cakes and lanterns, participated in folk games, painted statues, etc. amidst the cheerful laughter of the volunteers.

Little Nguyen Kim Nha, a 4B student at Ben Bao Primary School, innocently shared: “I am very happy because I received a Mid-Autumn gift, got to go out, and ate delicious cakes and candies. I also received a scholarship, I will try to study well so as not to let down my teachers and friends.”

Participating in the program, children not only get to eat well and have fun, but also receive many gifts and scholarships.

Not only bringing joy to childhood, the program also gave many meaningful gifts: 40 scholarships for poor but studious students (20 scholarships worth 1 million VND, 20 scholarships worth 600 thousand VND), 5 gifts for lonely elderly households (each worth 1 million VND), gifts for two schools of Ben Bao Primary School, and medical equipment including medicine and ventilators for the Commune Health Station.

Mr. Quach Hoang Anh, Vice Chairman of Quach Pham Commune People's Committee, presented the Golden Heart gratitude plaque to the sponsor Saigon Kitchen.

“Quach Pham is one of the most disadvantaged communes in Ca Mau province. Children lack playgrounds and people still have many hardships. Therefore, the Mid-Autumn Festival gifts, scholarships and medical equipment that Saigon Kitchen and other benefactors sent today are truly valuable. On behalf of the local government and people, I would like to express my deep gratitude. This is a great source of encouragement for children to have more joy and people to have more determination to improve their lives.”

Warm Mid-Autumn Festival Thanh Tung

Starting from the trip to inaugurate the traffic bridge in Tan Dien B hamlet, witnessing the desire to have a playground of the children here, the volunteer groups Youth Vitality and Thien Tai called for kind hearts, bringing Mid-Autumn Festival to 300 children in Thanh Tung commune.

At Salatel - the Cultural House of the Khmer ethnic group in Tan Dien B hamlet, Thanh Tung children had a joyful and warm Mid-Autumn Festival.

Despite the rain and slippery dirt roads, gifts including cakes, candies, and lanterns were gathered and distributed from the morning of September 27. In addition, the performances brought laughter in the warm atmosphere at Salatel - the Cultural House of the Khmer ethnic group, Tan Dien B hamlet, Thanh Tung commune .

Children's smiles at the festival are the most beautiful proof of love and sharing.

For many Khmer children, this is the first time they have enjoyed a full Mid-Autumn Festival, full of childhood colors. Little Nguyen Nhu Y, from Cai Ngay hamlet, shared innocently: “I am very happy to eat moon cakes and receive lanterns. I thank the uncles and aunts who brought me gifts. I wish that every year my friends and I can enjoy the Mid-Autumn Festival like today.”

Not only children, parents also enjoy the joy of children on the Mid-Autumn Festival night.

Having fun, singing and dancing, the children also received many gifts from volunteers.

Touched by the attention given to the locality, Ms. Nguyen Xiu Hon, Secretary of the Youth Union of Thanh Tung commune, expressed: "We are very happy that the people and children from poor villages are shared and encouraged. This will be a source of encouragement for them to be more confident and determined."

The Mid-Autumn Festival in Quach Pham and Thanh Tung has ended, but the echoes of love still linger. The cakes and lanterns, though simple, contain the heart, conveying the belief in a generation of children, the future green buds of the homeland.
