Outstanding works honored at the 19th National Press Awards

The 2024 National Press Awards ceremony honored 128 outstanding works, including 13 A Prizes, 27 B Prizes, 49 C Prizes and 39 Encouragement Prizes, highlighting new categories such as Multimedia and Creative Journalism.

On the evening of June 21, at My Dinh Athletics Palace, the Closing and Awarding Ceremony of the 19th National Press Awards 2024 took place.

Entering the 19th year, at a time when press agencies across the country are focusing on organization and reorganization work according to the policy of streamlining the Party and State's apparatus, the prestige of the National Press Award continues to be firmly affirmed, the value of the National Press Award is still widely spread throughout all levels of the Association and its members, with the participation of 17/21 Inter-Associations, 29 affiliated Associations, 59/63 Provincial and Municipal Journalists Associations.

The preliminary selection process at all levels of the Association selected 1,970 entries, of which 1,913 entries met the requirements.

128 outstanding press works were awarded, including: 13 A Prizes, 27 B Prizes, 49 C Prizes and 39 Encouragement Prizes.

This is the first year that the National Press Awards has included two new categories: Multimedia Journalism and Creative Journalism.

Multimedia and creative journalism products are invested in by press agencies, applying modern journalism technology, developing multi-platform and multimedia journalism while still maintaining standards in content, ensuring political and ideological values, accuracy, timeliness, positive and strong social impact, increasing attractiveness and accessibility to the public./.
