Parents' "different" gratitude on November 20th

On Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, while other parents often show their gratitude to their children's homeroom teachers and main subject teachers, Ms. Nguyen Thu Huyen (My Dinh, Hanoi ) does not. The teachers she wants to show her gratitude to are very special.

These days, the topic that many parents, especially mothers, are interested in is what gifts to give to their children's teachers. The teachers that students and parents want to thank on this occasion are usually homeroom teachers, teachers of major subjects such as Math, Literature, and Foreign Language.

This is also an opportunity for parents to express their gratitude to the teachers who have taught their children knowledge and lessons on how to be a good person. Besides, through this occasion, many parents want teachers to "pay attention" to their children, so that their children can have a good academic record.

Because her child attends a private school, Ms. Thu Huyen does not feel "pressured" to give gifts to teachers on November 20. However, every year, she carefully chooses practical and meaningful gifts to give to her child's teachers. However, the teachers she wants to thank are very "special".

That was her child's old teacher, the secondary school teacher who taught her eldest daughter 7 years ago. Her daughter is about to graduate from university this year, but every year she and her child visit her on November 20. "With our love, every year on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, my child and I come to congratulate her. For the past 4 years, my daughter has been studying abroad, and she still sends her congratulations via text message. And I still come to give her fresh flowers.

When my child was her student, thanks to her warm feelings and gentle sharing, my teenage daughter was inspired a lot. She knew how to try harder and strive more. She was a very meaningful teacher in my student life. Therefore, even now or in the future, on November 20, my child and I always want to congratulate her and express our gratitude to her," Ms. Thu Huyen shared.

She is also the current PE teacher of her second daughter. "PE teachers are often "forgotten" by parents during holidays and Tet. I am sure they feel very sad on their holidays, when their other colleagues receive many congratulations and gifts from parents. A small gift from a parent like me, they will definitely be very happy and appreciate it", is the confession of Ms. Thu Huyen

That is the Math tutor at the center her child studied 2 years ago. Even though she did not study with him, every November 20, she prepared a gift for her child to give to the teacher. "The teacher is very young, so his teaching style is very popular with Gen Z students. He is very approachable, the way he talks to students is not dogmatic but like friends.

Although the center where the teacher teaches is dozens of kilometers away from my house, no matter how busy or sick, my daughter never misses school. She also loves Math more thanks to the teacher's inspiration. Every time she talks about the teacher, she talks about very happy memories. That is the teacher who left a beautiful emotional "imprint" in the hearts of students," said Ms. Thu Huyen.
