This morning (October 4), Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology organized the 2025 Polytechnic Job Fair. Notably, for the first time, businesses from Hyogo Prefecture (Japan) attended the fair and directly interviewed students.
Here, more than 140 multinational corporations and businesses introduced nearly 2,300 job positions for the school's students. The recruitment positions recorded include: software design engineers, hardware, computer science to industrial engineers, mechanical-electrical/electronic-automation, energy, transportation and technical infrastructure...
In particular, the mechanical, electrical-electronic, chemical, and computer sectors have the largest number of participating enterprises. Many enterprises have a need to recruit more than 100 positions at each unit such as: Masan Industrial One Member Co., Ltd., MiTek Vietnam Co., Ltd., Thanh Thanh Cong - Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company, LG Innotek Vietnam Hai Phong, LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong...
Data analysis from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology shows that among the 36 occupations that businesses need to recruit this year, the mechanical field is leading.

3 Japanese business sectors are looking for candidates
In particular, this year, for the first time, 25 businesses from Hyogo Prefecture (Japan) attended the festival, directly interviewed and shared labor attraction programs with students. Hyogo Prefecture businesses operate in fields such as: construction, mechanical design, information technology, steel and machinery production, metal stamping production... Statistics from the festival show that Japanese businesses are recruiting 45 positions in the following industries: information technology, electricity-electronics and construction. The positions in Japan have an average starting salary of 200,000-250,000 yen (equivalent to about 35-45 million VND/month).
Master Dao Vu Hoang Nam, Deputy Head of Student Affairs Department, Head of the organizing committee of the fair, said that in previous job fairs, many foreign enterprises participated, but mainly multinational corporations headquartered in Vietnam. This year, for the first time, enterprises from Hyogo Prefecture (Japan) came to Vietnam to participate in the fair, directly recruiting students to work in Japan.
Mr. Shiomi Akihiro, Director of the Department of Industry, Employment and International Relations of Hyogo Prefecture (Japan), said that Hyogo Prefecture has assessment regulations to ensure that businesses in the province are qualified to recruit foreign workers, including factors such as working environment, benefits, living conditions, etc. The businesses participating in this job fair all meet the criteria.
"Interviewing candidates at the fair is also a basis for them to evaluate the priority of choosing to work in Japan compared to other countries, grasp the thoughts and aspirations of learners, and popular professions to build a suitable recruitment plan," Mr. Shiomi Akihiro added.
