According to firstpost.com , Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad al Thani had a phone call with US President Donald Trump on October 1.
The office of the Emir of Qatar said that the Emir of Qatar discussed with President Trump a plan to end the conflict in Gaza.
"During the phone call, Emir Tamim reaffirmed Qatar's commitment to peace efforts and expressed confidence that the countries supporting the plan can reach a just solution that ensures regional security, stability and protects the rights of the Palestinian people," the statement said.

President Trump previously announced a 20-point peace plan to end the conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip on September 29.
The UN humanitarian chief, Tom Fletcher, recently welcomed Mr Trump's Gaza peace proposal.
“We are ready and willing to work in a practical and principled way to seize this moment for peace,” said Tom Fletcher.
According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), areas across the Gaza Strip, especially Gaza City, continue to be heavily bombed by Israel.
"Intensified Israeli air strikes in northwest Deir al-Balah have left at least 89 Palestinians dead," OCHA said.
