Dragonberry Produce Company is one of the leading importers of high-end agricultural products in the US distributing this product, and Golden Lychees is the brand name for Vietnamese lychees grown according to GlobalGAP procedures. After being irradiated in Vietnam, the lychees are transported by sea to the US, preserving their freshness and ensuring strict US phytosanitary standards. This is the third consecutive year that Dragonberry Produce has brought this specialty fruit to the US.

In the context that Vietnamese lychees are facing competition from many other countries, this event is even more important in conveying the message of standards and quality to world consumers.

Information from the Import-Export Department ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) shows that the global lychee market is forecast to continue to grow strongly, reaching 8.79 billion USD by 2028 thanks to increasing demand from the international market and the production boom in the Asian region.

China is the world's largest producer and exporter of lychees, with an annual output of about 2 million tons. Lychees are also grown in India, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines, contributing to regional supply and participating in international trade.

Bringing Vietnamese lychees into large retail systems in the US such as Costco is not only a commercial success but also affirms the value of the agricultural supply chain through close cooperation between purchasing units and producers. To bring lychees into the international retail system,

Dragonberry Produce Company has worked directly with Vietnamese cooperatives and enterprises to standardize production processes and product quality. It is expected that the company will expand cooperation to other fruits such as longan, dragon fruit, and passion fruit to increase the output and export value of fresh fruits from Vietnam.

Currently, many of the world's leading supermarkets are diversifying their agricultural supply sources and Vietnam is considered to have abundant raw material resources, capable of supplying goods to the world.

However, to bring products into foreign retail systems, cooperatives and enterprises must fully meet international standards on animal and plant quarantine, traceability and transparency of information on labor and environment.

Therefore, the requirement is to cooperate with importing countries to deploy appropriate technology and techniques, applying them right from the production, processing to harvesting and consumption stages.

In particular, farmers and businesses need to pioneer the green transformation trend, applying the circular economic model to meet the new "rules of the game" of global trade and investment. At that time, the appearance of Vietnamese agricultural products on international shelves will help consumers recognize the origin of the products, thereby positioning the brand, increasing the added value of each product.
