NTO - Launching the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, term VIII, 2023

On the afternoon of December 26, the 8th National Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Union conducted one of the important contents of the Congress: Electing the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, term VIII, 2023 - 2028.

Under the chairmanship of President of the Vietnam Farmers' Union Luong Quoc Doan, the Congress conducted the procedures to elect the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, term VIII.

The Congress elected 111 Executive Committee members. The members include the Central Committee; leaders of Farmers' Associations of provinces and cities; central ministries and branches; scientists , business sectors and associations; cooperatives; outstanding farmer members...

The proportion of female Executive Committee members is about 25%; the proportion of ethnic minority Executive Committee members is 11%. Age structure: The proportion under 45 years old is about 15%, 45 - 55 years old is about 50% and over 55 years old is about 35%...

The highlight of the structure of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, term VIII, is to reduce the number of Executive Committee members of the Central Association, and increase the structure of enterprises. The number of agricultural enterprises and agricultural product consumption will be increased, contributing to strengthening cooperation and association for farmers to produce and do business better.

The 8th National Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, term 2023 - 2028, has 995 official delegates who are exemplary cadres and farmer members, representing the will, aspirations and intelligence of more than 10 million cadres and farmer members nationwide who attended the Congress.
