On the afternoon of November 6, the leader of Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 3 (Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security ) said that this unit had just issued a ticket to a female driver driving in the wrong direction on the Phap Van - Cau Gie Highway.

This person is D.TN (26 years old, living in Thuong Tin district, Hanoi ). The female driver was fined for driving in the wrong direction on the highway. For this violation, Ms. D.TN was fined 17 million VND and had her driver's license revoked for 6 months.

Explaining her behavior of driving the wrong way on the highway, Ms. N. said that on November 5, she drove from Thuong Tin district to Nam Dinh . When exiting the Phap Van - Cau Gie highway, the female driver went in the wrong direction towards the center of Hanoi.

Then, Ms. N. drove in the opposite direction of the highway from Km193+150 to Km193+200 to exit the intersection to Thuong Tin district.

"My purpose in going the wrong way was to get home quickly. I personally found this behavior dangerous for myself, the people in the car, and other vehicles on the route," the female driver stated in the incident report.

Previously, a clip was circulated on social media recording the image of a woman driving a car struggling to reverse and then turn around on the highway. After a few steps of reversing, the driver stepped on the gas to drive the car in the opposite direction and waved to the person filming the clip.

The incident caused vehicles coming from the access road wanting to enter the highway to have to stop and wait.
