
With the aim of enhancing cooperation, promoting development and maximizing the potential of e-sports in Southeast Asia, 11 member countries in the region met and elected the SEAEF Executive Board for the first term (2025-2029).
Mr. Do Viet Hung, Chairman of the Vietnam Recreational eSports Association (VIRESA) was elected as Chairman of SEAE. With many years of experience in managing and planning eSports development strategies, Mr. Hung is currently Chairman of VIRESA and Vice Chairman of the Asian eSports Federation (AESF) representing the Southeast Asian region.
The two positions of Vice Chairman and two positions of Executive Board members respectively belong to Mr. Ng Chong Geng (Singapore), Mr. Muhammad Naim Al Amin Bin Saharudin (Malaysia), Mr. Brian Lim (Philippines) and Mr. Camacho Ramos de Silva Pinto (Timor Leste).
With the vision to become the focal point in connecting the components of the regional esports ecosystem, including publishers, tournament organizers, training facilities and educational institutions, SEAEF aims to build a sustainable foundation for the grassroots esports movement, develop professional tournaments and create a clear roadmap for Southeast Asian athletes to reach the international arena.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Do Viet Hung emphasized: “SEAEF is built on the spirit of solidarity. By connecting strengths and acting together, we will create a sustainable ecosystem – supporting athletes, strengthening national federations and bringing Southeast Asian e-sports to the world .”
During its first term, the SEAEF Executive Board will be responsible for orienting activities, building cooperation mechanisms and synchronous development among member countries, contributing to making e-sports a sustainable and highly professional development field in the region.
The establishment of SEAEF is expected to create a solid foundation for the synchronous development of e-sports in the region, contributing to promoting international cooperation, exchanging professional experiences, as well as enhancing the position of Southeast Asia on the world e-sports map.
