Young people flocked in, patiently lining up, waiting to get inside. Minh Tu (University of Architecture) said he has played League of Legends for many years and often watches tournaments online. "I have never seen a live match, and one of such a large scale. So my friends and I came here very early to watch the gamers, cheering for our favorite team," Tu said.
The Finals Week brings together the three strongest teams: TSW (Vietnam), CFO and PSG (Taiwan, China). These are the three teams selected from the eight teams that competed throughout the season. On September 20, TSW came from behind to destroy PSG (Taiwan) 3-1 and entered the championship match with CFO (Taiwan) on September 21.
Young people flocked to the stands inside Tien Son Sports Palace to watch the performances of gamers in Asia's hottest e-sport. This year's Vietnamese team has two members from Da Nang, captain Taki and shooter Eddie, so the heat from the stands is even more intense. Mr. Nguyen Trong Thao, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, believes that this is an important event in affirming the position of Vietnamese e-sports in the international arena. At the same time, it contributes to promoting the image of a dynamic, friendly Da Nang with rich potential in culture, sports and tourism to international friends.
Minh Hoang (Cam Le ward) said this was the first time he had seen a live match and met the gamers in real life. "In the Vietnamese team, I admire captain Taki the most and seeing him today, I'm really happy," Hoang said.
In the match against PGS, TSW lost the opening game, making fans heart-stopping, but then strongly recovered, winning 3 consecutive games to enter the finals of LCP 2025.
E-sports not only attracts boys but many female students are also followers.
The confrontation between two heavyweights with dramatic situations made the audience tense.
Along with the victory to enter the final match for the championship, Vietnam team captain - Taki was voted the best player of the match. According to the Organizing Committee, choosing to hold LPC in Da Nang not only creates conditions for domestic fans to directly witness top matches but also attracts tourists. From there, it contributes to developing tourism and promoting the city's image. The Organizing Committee also hopes that this will be a good stepping stone to turn Da Nang into an "e-sports city" and also a destination for the world's leading eSports tournaments.
