Informing Tuoi Tre Online , a representative of HDFPV One Member Co., Ltd. (the unit responsible for professional matters) said that the Vietnamese DroneSoccer team has just left a great impression at the FIDA WorldCup 2025.
The FIDA World Cup 2025 is the world's largest tournament for drone soccer. This year's tournament brings together 33 national teams and 250 club teams, more than 2,500 athletes from more than 33 countries and territories.
The tournament is divided into four main competition categories: International (INTL Class 20 and Class 40), Club (Club Class 20 & Class 40), Cracing, Super Pilot and demonstration events. Matches are held at the dedicated DroneSoccer competition complex.
This is special because this is the first time Vietnam has a team participating in the tournament. The decision to call up the DroneSoccer Vietnam team was just issued by the President of the Vietnam Entertainment Electronic Sports Association on September 20.
The DroneSoccer Vietnam team consists of many students from secondary schools in Ho Chi Minh City such as Nguyen Van Be, Nguyen Du, Tran Van On, Le Quy Don, Binh An, Hoang Hoa Tham and Tran Quoc Toan.
The team representative said that the team had overcome great challenges in terms of training conditions, equipment systems and limited facilities. Despite participating in an international tournament for the first time, the team reached the round of 16, played a dramatic match with the Hong Kong team and ended with a close score of 16:19.
In the Club Class 20 group, DroneSoccer Vietnam excelled in the round of 64, stopping before the Japanese team (group champion) and ranked in the top 32/192 club teams.
In particular, the Vietnamese team was honored with the Future Generations Award, honoring outstanding contributions in spreading DroneSoccer to the youth community, contributing to building a creative and internationally integrated young generation. This is the first time a Vietnamese team has received this prestigious award at the FIDA World Cup.
