Mr. Le Ngoc Quang was appointed Secretary of Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee.

(Dan Tri) - The Politburo appointed the Quang Tri Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 62 members, the Provincial Party Standing Committee of 17 members, and Mr. Le Ngoc Quang to hold the position of Provincial Party Secretary.

On the morning of October 5, the 1st Congress of Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, officially opened. Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien attended and directed the Congress.

The Congress was attended by 448 delegates, representing nearly 129,000 party members of Quang Tri province. This is an event of special historical significance, the first Congress of the province after the merger, opening a new period of development.

The first Congress of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee has the theme: "Building a clean and strong Party Committee and political system; promoting the strength of great national unity and development aspirations; mobilizing and effectively using all resources; promoting innovation and digital transformation; striving to make Quang Tri a new growth pole of the Central region".

At the Congress, the Presidium announced the Politburo 's decisions on appointing the Quang Tri Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term with 62 members and the Provincial Party Standing Committee with 17 members.

The Politburo appointed Mr. Le Ngoc Quang, Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, to assume the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

The Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee appointed by the Politburo include: Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Tran Phong, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Chien Thang, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Tran Vu Khiem, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board.

In addition, the Party Central Committee Secretariat has appointed members, chairmen and vice chairmen of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission for the 2025-2030 term. Of which, Ms. Ho Thi Thu Hang is the chairwoman. Vice chairmen include Mr. Le Cong Huu, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan and Mr. Nguyen Anh Quy.

Mr. Le Ngoc Quang, Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, on behalf of the first Provincial Party Executive Committee, pledged to strive to improve political qualities, ethics, lifestyle, and successfully complete all assigned tasks.

The Executive Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee will unite, innovate, be creative, and soon concretize the Congress Resolution, striving to make Quang Tri a new growth pole of the Central region.

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Do Van Chien, on behalf of the Politburo and Secretariat, commended the achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of Quang Tri during the past term.

Mr. Chien suggested that Quang Tri province effectively exploit its potential and strengths, strive to achieve the double-digit growth target; strengthen Party building and rectification; and focus on national defense and security work.

The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front emphasized that after the Congress, the Quang Tri Provincial Party Executive Committee needs to issue an Action Program with the spirit of "6 clear" (clear work, clear authority, clear responsibility, clear time, clear resources, clear results); bring the resolution into life, meeting the expectations of cadres, party members and people.

Mr. Le Ngoc Quang was born in 1974, from Thanh Hoa province. He has a degree in political theory and a bachelor's degree in journalism.

Mr. Quang is a member of the 13th Party Central Committee, term 2021-2026, and held the position of General Director of Vietnam Television.

In October 2024, Mr. Quang was appointed by the Politburo to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee (old), term 2020-2025.

When Quang Binh and Quang Tri merged, Mr. Quang was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee (new), term 2020-2025.
