Mr. Le Ngoc Son is the General Director of Petrovietnam.

Pursuant to Decision 1592-QD/DKVN dated March 18, 2024, the Board of Members of Petrovietnam appointed Mr. Le Ngoc Son, Member of the Board of Members of the Group, to hold the position of General Director of Petrovietnam, with a term of appointment of 5 years.

The decision will take effect from the date of signing.

Previously, on March 15, the Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises signed a decision to appoint Mr. Le Ngoc Son, Deputy General Director of Petrovietnam, to hold the position of member of the Group's Board of Members.

Mr. Le Ngoc Son was born in 1972. His professional qualifications are Master of Oil and Gas Field Evaluation and Management; Engineer of Oil and Gas Drilling Technology.

Mr. Son has nearly 30 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry in various positions. Before being appointed as General Director of Petrovietnam, Mr. Le Ngoc Son held the position of Head of the Group's Oil and Gas Exploitation Department and General Director of Phu Quoc Oil and Gas Operating Company. From March 2021 to present, Mr. Le Ngoc Son has been the Group's Deputy General Director in charge of the E&P oil and gas exploration and exploitation sector.

In 2023, PVN achieved a record revenue of VND 942,800 billion, exceeding the yearly plan by 39% (VND 677,700 billion), VND 11,600 billion higher than the record set in 2022. The Group paid VND 151,800 billion to the State budget, exceeding the plan by 94%.

In 2024, PVN plans to achieve VND734,200 billion in revenue, VND56,500 billion higher than last year's plan, equivalent to an increase of 8%. Budget contribution is expected to reach VND94,000 billion, an increase of 20% compared to the 2023 target. Consolidated pre-tax profit strives to reach VND22,000 billion.
