Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh was re-elected as President of the Vietnam Traditional Martial Arts Federation.

Through the 6th term Congress (2025 - 2030) of the Vietnam Traditional Martial Arts Federation, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh - Head of the Sports for All Department (Vietnam Sports Administration, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) continued to be elected as President of the Vietnam Traditional Martial Arts Federation.

In the summary report of the 5th term (2018 - 2025), Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh - Chairman of the Vietnam Traditional Martial Arts Federation said that the federation has completed many important tasks, contributing to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values ​​and raising the status of national martial arts. The movement of practicing traditional martial arts has been widely expanded to schools, armed forces, overseas Vietnamese communities, and the international community. Professional work is increasingly standardized, moving towards professionalism and modernity. In particular, participating in the Kun Bokator competition at the 32nd SEA Games has brought home many medals, contributing to enhancing the image of Vietnamese traditional martial arts in the regional arena.

In the period of 2018 - 2025, the federation has admitted 36 more member organizations, 179 individuals; built over 60 branches, more than 1,000 clubs, martial arts schools and hundreds of active martial arts schools and sects. Membership management is digitized, applying technology in management, ensuring scientific and effective.

The Vietnam Traditional Martial Arts Federation has selected 18 martial arts and weapon forms, of which 13 are required to compete in national and international traditional martial arts competitions, including: Hung Ke Quyen, Ngoc Tran Quyen, Lao Mai Quyen, Thanh Long Doc Kiem, Sieu Xung Thien, Phong Hoa Dao, Thai Son Con, Doc Lu Thuong, Lao Ho Thuong Son, Song Tuyet Kiem, Bat Quai Con, Tu Linh Dao and Hoang Long Doc Kiem.

After 2 working days (September 27-28), the Congress elected the Executive Committee for the 6th term (2025-2030) with 46 members, the Standing Committee with 8 members and the Inspection Committee with 7 members. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh - Head of the Sports for All Department (Vietnam Sports Administration, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) continued to be elected by the Congress to hold the position of President of the Vietnam Traditional Martial Arts Federation.

In the new term (2025 - 2030), the Vietnam Traditional Martial Arts Federation strives to increase the number of members, clubs, and martial arts schools by at least 30% by 2030; 100% of provinces and cities have movements; strive to make traditional martial arts a compulsory sport and an effective means of training physical fitness according to standards for students, officers, and soldiers of the armed forces; a key sport in the Phu Dong Sports Festival, the Sports Congress for National Security, and the Sports Festival in the Vietnam People's Army.

According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh, the federation will organize tournaments in a professional and modern way; apply scoring and management technology; standardize facilities, costumes, weapons, and at the same time promote the diversity and identity of martial arts uniforms. Preserve at least 5 ethnic minority martial arts, restore ancient martial arts schools, honor traditional martial arts masters; continue to promote and strongly develop traditional martial arts in countries; strive to establish traditional martial arts federations in Southeast Asian countries and make traditional martial arts an official competition at the SEA Games.

Speaking at the congress, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Administration Le Thi Hoang Yen suggested that the federation should focus on training the next generation of athletes; strengthen international cooperation and promote the spiritual and ethical values ​​of traditional martial arts such as compassion, discipline, and martial spirit.
