The team consists of four familiar faces: Nguyen Thi Hang, Hoang Thi Minh Hanh, Nguyen Thi Ngoc, Le Thi Tuyet Mai and coach Nguyen Thi Bac. These are the athletes considered the core, representing the women's 400m category of Vietnamese athletics.

The training trip took place within the framework of a tripartite cooperation agreement between the Vietnam Sports Department, the Vietnam - France Friendship and Cooperation Association and the Francophone Sports Association, signed on May 26 this year.

This agreement opens up opportunities for closer cooperation in the field of high-performance sports, creating conditions for Vietnamese athletes to access international training environments, improve their expertise and competitive spirit. At the same time, this is also a concrete step in a long-term strategy to raise the status of Vietnamese sports, aiming to win medals at future Olympic Games.

The selection of the women's 4x400m relay team to train in France not only comes from existing strengths but also demonstrates the strategic vision of the sports industry, as this event is considered a spearhead with high competitiveness in the region.

During three weeks of training in France, the athletes will have access to modern facilities, advanced training methods, and the opportunity to interact and interact with international athletes.

It is expected that after the training trip, the team will return home on October 22 to continue completing preparations, ready to conquer the goal at SEA Games 33.

The women's 4x400m event is one of the strengths of Vietnamese athletics, having continuously won SEA Games gold medals since 2015. Currently, star Nguyen Thi Huyen has retired, while Quach Thi Lan is past her prime. Therefore, Vietnamese athletics will face many challenges to defend the championship against the rise of Thailand.

The goal of Vietnamese athletics is to win 12-14 gold medals at the 33rd SEA Games, which will take place in Thailand this December. The women's 4x400m relay is one of the events that has been assigned a gold medal target.
