Mr. Nguyen Phu Quoc was born in 1974, from Duc Tho district (Ha Tinh), with a Master's degree in Public Administration. Mr. Le Tran Nguyen Hung was born in 1970, from Hai Chau district, Da Nang city, with a Master's degree in Fisheries Exploitation.

Thus, the Fisheries Control Department currently has Director Nguyen Quang Hung and 4 Deputy Directors: Duong Van Cuong, Nguyen Phu Quoc, Le Tran Nguyen Hung and Le Tuan.

Handing over the appointment decision to two Deputy Directors, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien said that although the Fisheries Control Department has just been separated as a unit under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, it has operated relatively professionally, especially with very good personnel work.

Fisheries inspectors currently have many tasks, but the two important immediate and long-term tasks are to remove the IUU "yellow card" and to quickly coordinate with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to implement the Plan for protection and exploitation of aquatic resources for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, which has been approved by the Government .

Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien emphasized: “These two tasks are very important. It has been nearly 7 years since we have removed the IUU “yellow card”, which has greatly affected the image and reputation of Vietnamese fisheries in the international arena. At the same time, we must improve the work of preserving and protecting aquatic resources. If we cannot do this, the fisheries industry cannot develop sustainably.”

Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien congratulated the Fisheries Surveillance Department and the Director of the Fisheries Surveillance Department for having more leaders to support them in their work. At the same time, he especially congratulated the two new Deputy Directors and hoped that specific assignments would soon be made so that the two new Deputy Directors could immediately start their work.

Speaking after taking on the new assignment, Deputy Director of the Fisheries Control Department Le Tran Nguyen Hung affirmed: "In my new position, I promise to make every effort, constantly study and learn from the experiences of previous leaders, together with the leadership of the Fisheries Control Department, units and all civil servants, public employees and workers to create unity, solidarity, promote collective intelligence, overcome difficulties to complete the tasks assigned by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to the Fisheries Control Department".
