On the morning of October 2, the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo 's decision on personnel work. Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung chaired the conference.
Effective implementation of action programs
At the conference, Mr. Hoang Dang Quang, member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, announced the decision of the Politburo to transfer and appoint Mr. Ho Van Nien, member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, to hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Minh Hung said that Mr. Ho Van Nien was well-trained, grew up from the grassroots and has worked in many different positions at both the central and local levels. The Politburo assessed Mr. Nien as a capable and experienced cadre in Party building and state management, with a scientific and decisive working method, and close to the grassroots.
In his new position, the Head of the Central Organizing Committee requested Mr. Ho Van Nien to closely follow the direction of the Politburo, quickly work with the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee to concretize and effectively deploy the Action Program to implement the resolution of the Provincial Party Congress, soon put the resolution into life; at the same time, focus on leading and directing the successful organization of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term, as well as effectively deploy the two-level local government model.

Speaking at the ceremony to receive the assignment, Mr. Ho Van Nien emphasized: "I am deeply aware that this is a great honor, but also a heavy responsibility before the Party Committee, the government and the people of the province. In response to the requirements and responsibilities, I promise to constantly train my political mettle, maintain moral qualities, a clean and exemplary lifestyle; make efforts to stay close to the grassroots, and devote myself to the common development of Quang Ngai."

Mr. Ho Van Nien expressed his hope that the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the entire political system in the province will continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, unite for the goal of building Quang Ngai to become more and more developed, worthy of the trust and expectations of the people.
Previously, the Politburo decided to transfer, assign and appoint Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee.
Mr. Ho Van Nien (50 years old, Bana ethnic group, from Dak Po commune, Gia Lai province) has a bachelor's degree in Law. Mr. Nien has worked for many years in Gia Lai province, holding the positions of Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, term XVI, 2020 - 2025.
In January 2021, Mr. Ho Van Nien was elected as a member of the 13th Party Central Committee. After that, he served as Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, 16th term, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council, 12th term, 2021 - 2026 term, from June 2021.
In June 2025, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed a decision to transfer, assign and appoint Mr. Ho Van Nien to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.
