Nearly 3,200 households in Ha Tinh were flooded after storm No. 10.

(Baohatinh.vn) - Although the water level of rivers is on the decline and flooding has decreased, there are still 3,185 households in Ha Tinh that are flooded after storm No. 10 and the rain and floods that followed the storm.

Mr. Ho Duy Phiet - Deputy Head of the Irrigation Sub-Department (Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ha Tinh) said: Currently, the water level on Ngan Sau, Ngan Pho, and La rivers is on a downward trend, water in many places has receded, and flooding has decreased.

However, due to the slow receding of the river water, as of 3 p.m. on October 3, the entire province still had 3,185 flooded households (a decrease of 2,090 households compared to October 2). The flooded areas were mainly communes outside the La Giang dike such as Duc Quang, Duc Minh, some villages in Bac Hong Linh ward and Nghi Xuan commune.

National Highway 1 through Xuan Lam commune, old Nghi Xuan district, now Bac Hong Linh ward is still flooded from 0.4 - 0.6m deep, and traffic is banned.

Forces are assisting in repairing damage at Kim Hoa Primary School with the goal of soon returning teaching and learning to normal.

According to local statistics, due to the impact of storm No. 10, more than 98,000 houses had their roofs blown off or were damaged (data is still being reviewed).

Implementing the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee, currently the military forces, police, youth union, and women's union are strengthening their forces to continue supporting people to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10 and the floods after the storm.

As of 1 p.m. on October 3, the electricity sector had fixed the problem and restored power to 434,752 customers (88%). 31 communes and wards had full power, 37 communes and wards had partial power, and Cam Lac commune was the only one that had not been able to fix the problem.

The Linh Hong spillway bridge pier in Son Hong commune was damaged after the storm and is being repaired and reinforced.

Basic communication systems have been restored; flooded and landslide-affected traffic routes have also been basically handled, ensuring traffic flow.

427 schools were damaged or had their roofs blown off, but have now been temporarily repaired to allow for the resumption of teaching and learning; 660/676 educational establishments have returned to normal teaching and learning, with only 16 schools remaining flooded. It is expected that schools will return to normal early next week.

In addition to the three medical stations of Tung Chau, Lien Minh, and Quang Vinh - the area outside La Giang dike that is being flooded, 24 hospitals and 206 medical stations in the province are operating normally, ensuring medical examination and treatment for people.
