"It's not surprising at all. The Vietnamese futsal team is ranked 26th in the world , while the Chinese team is ranked 85th in the world. The difference in class is too great," Marco Setiawan from Indonesia expressed on the Asean Football page after witnessing the Vietnamese futsal team defeat the Chinese futsal team with a score of 7-2 on the Chinese field in the second match of Group E of the 2026 Asian futsal qualifiers on the evening of September 22.

Coach Diego Giustozzi's team started quickly and made the Chinese futsal team collapse right from the start, conceding 3 goals in just the first 3 minutes of the match.

The increased confidence helped the Vietnamese futsal team completely dominate the game and score 2 more goals in the remaining time of the first half. In the second half, coach Diego Giustozzi rotated the team by putting on many reserve players, but still scored 2 more goals to lead the opponent 7-0.

The deep lead made the Vietnamese futsal team play carelessly in the remaining minutes and allowed the opponent to score 2 consecutive goals, narrowing the gap to 2-7. However, coach Diego Giustozzi's team still maintained this score until the referee blew the whistle to end the match, thereby continuing to consolidate the top position in Group E with 2 wins.

The Vietnamese futsal team is currently 2 points ahead of second-placed Lebanon and in the final match on September 24, coach Diego Giustozzi and his team only need a draw to qualify for the 2026 Asian futsal finals.

"Congratulations on Vietnam's victory from Malaysia. Vietnamese football is too strong in futsal," Khairul Amiruddin from Malaysia praised the victory of the "Golden Dragons".

"That's because the Vietnamese futsal team hasn't played at their full potential yet, otherwise China would have conceded many more goals. The ticket to the final round almost certainly belongs to the Vietnamese futsal team as Lebanon is not a very strong team," said Anusorn Phungsuk from Myanmar.

"Congratulations to Vietnam futsal. Even if they lose to Lebanon but with a not too big score, the ticket to the 2026 Asian futsal finals still belongs to Vietnam when there are up to 7 places for the second-placed team. But I am sure that Vietnam futsal will easily win against Lebanon," Singaporean account Guntukew Uke expressed.

"China's indoor football is not strong. They played too poorly against the Vietnamese team," Waar Axe from Indonesia emphasized.

"The Vietnamese futsal team has won tickets to the World Cup twice, so a ticket to the 2026 Asian futsal finals is as easy as turning your hand. It's a coincidence that the Vietnamese futsal team once caused sadness to the Lebanese futsal team to win a ticket to the 2021 World Cup, and this time they will face each other in the last round to avoid a ticket to the 2026 Asian futsal tournament. It's very possible that the Vietnamese futsal team is Lebanon's nemesis," Nguyen Duy Hieu, an account from Vietnam, concluded.
