Launching a contest to learn about knowledge about using energy economically and efficiently

The contest is organized to diversify propaganda forms, promote communication activities of the National Program on economical and efficient use of energy in the period of 2019 - 2030. At the same time, raise awareness and consciousness of the community about economical and efficient use of energy, implementing Directive 20 of the Prime Minister on enhancing electricity saving in the period of 2023 - 2025 and the following years.

Speaking at the launch of the contest, Mr. Cu Huy Quang, Head of the Department of Energy Efficiency and Green Transformation, Department of Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Promotion ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) said: In the context of the digital technology boom, online media platforms and social networks have become the main information channels, deeply impacting all aspects of life. Grasping this trend, the National Program on Energy Saving and Efficiency has constantly innovated communication methods, strongly applying digital communication solutions to convey messages that are close, attractive and easy to spread. In particular, the program focuses on reaching the young generation - the pioneering force, capable of shaping and replicating civilized and sustainable energy usage habits in society.

Following the success of previous seasons, in 2025, the competition continues to be held on the online platform of the National Program on Energy Saving and Efficiency. The competition starts from 8:00 on October 3, 2025 to 12:00 on November 6, 2025, divided into 5 rounds.

This is a modern, flexible and creative form of communication, especially suitable in the context of science and technology, digital transformation is increasingly developing, allowing everyone to easily access and participate. Not only helping to save organization costs, the online contest also brings about widespread effectiveness, attracting the attention of the public. The contest is designed in an open form, without age or geographical location restrictions, creating conditions for everyone to participate.

After 4 seasons, the contest has become a familiar annual playground, receiving enthusiastic participation from people from all over the country. In the past two years, the contest has recorded impressive results with 250,858 contestants, and the number of entries up to 411,224. These impressive numbers not only reflect the growing interest of the community in the issue of energy saving, but also a positive signal showing the efforts of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in promoting and raising public awareness about using energy economically and efficiently.

The results of each contest are widely posted on the official website and fanpage of the VNEEP Program, contributing to increasing transparency, spreading attraction and encouraging the spirit of competition. Step by step, the contest has been affirming its role as one of the outstanding communication highlights, contributing to bringing the message of energy saving into practical action in the daily life of each citizen.

In each exam, the Organizing Committee will award 5 prizes to the 5 contestants with the highest scores. Of which, 1 special prize of 3,000,000 VND/prize is for the contestant with the most correct answers and predictions in the shortest time. The remaining prizes are 1,000,000 VND/prize.

The organizers hope that with the questions about saving electricity and energy that are close to daily life, the contest will continue to receive the attention and participation of all components and participants nationwide. From there, it will contribute to the communication and strong dissemination of the National Program on economical and efficient use of energy in particular as well as knowledge of saving energy in general.
