Attending the conference were representatives of functional departments of Nam Tra My, Bac Tra My, Tien Phuoc, Phu Ninh districts and Tam Ky city; along with representatives of road management units, leaders of People's Committees, police of communes, towns and wards with National Highway (QL) 40B, QL24C and provincial roads passing through.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Nguyet - Deputy Chief Inspector of the Department of Transport said that in the field of road traffic management, the Provincial People's Committee pays great attention to directing, especially the management of traffic safety corridors.

Identifying this as a complex field of work, requiring coordination from many sectors and levels, the Provincial People's Committee has issued the Regulations on coordination in handling violations of regulations on road traffic safety on national and provincial routes in Quang Nam province, attached to Decision No. 2117, dated October 5, 2023.

The Regulation issued with Decision No. 2117 has replaced the Regulation on coordination in handling violations in the management and protection of road traffic safety issued under Decision No. 1671, dated May 29, 2018 of the Provincial People's Committee.

The regulations have many new points, clearly stating the responsibilities of each level, agency and relevant unit. Therefore, this conference was held to inform localities and units about the new points of the regulations.

At the conference, Mr. Tran Van Nhan - Inspector of the Department of Transport Inspectorate disseminated the key contents that the People's Committee and functional forces at district and commune levels need to grasp to implement the new regulations.

Captain of Traffic Inspection Team No. 1 of the Department of Transport Inspectorate - Mr. Thai Minh Hoang disseminated some contents of Decree No. 19, dated February 12, 2020 of the Government regulating inspection and disciplinary action in the enforcement of laws on handling administrative violations.

Mr. Thai Minh Hoang also informed about the current status of inspection and examination of compliance with regulations in handling violations of road safety corridors on National Highway 40B (Tam Ky - Nam Tra My); difficulties and solutions.

According to statistics, in 2023, QL40B had 30 violations of road traffic regulations; in the first 5 months of 2024, 20 more cases occurred. The main violations include building houses, fences, and gates; constructing works without a license; leveling the ground in the traffic corridor; building embankments or filling longitudinal ditches; opening branch roads illegally connecting to the main road...

At the conference, representatives of relevant agencies and localities raised difficulties and obstacles in implementing the management and handling of violations of road safety corridors. Localities also pointed out historical shortcomings that hinder the handling process.

Delegates also discussed and clarified the contents, methods and ways of coordination to improve the effectiveness of coordination in handling violations of regulations on national highways and urban routes; contributing to protecting road traffic infrastructure and ensuring traffic safety.
