Promoting the tradition of "Steel Land and Bronze Citadel" in the new era

On October 21, the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Cu Chi commune, term 2025 - 2030, closed.

In recent times, promoting the tradition of Cu Chi homeland "Land of steel and walls of copper", the strength of the great national unity bloc in the area has been constantly consolidated.

Notably, the result of the “For the Poor” Fund mobilization with a total amount of more than 2 billion VND, building and repairing 13 Great Solidarity houses. Up to now, Cu Chi commune has no more poor households according to the new criteria, the rate of near-poor households has decreased to only 1.39%.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Trung, City Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, presented a symbolic plaque of 300 million VND to support social security activities.

Comrade Hua Quoc Hung, Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Cu Chi commune presented a banner from the Party Executive Committee of the commune and flowers to congratulate the congress.

​In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cu Chi commune determined to promote the application of information technology and digital transformation in its activities, towards building an "Electronic Front"; continue to improve the quality of supervision and social criticism on issues directly related to the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people...

Speaking at the congress, comrade Nguyen Thanh Trung, member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Farmers' Association, commended the achievements of the Front and political and social organizations of Cu Chi commune in the past time.

In the new term, comrade Nguyen Thanh Trung suggested that the Commune Front should clearly define the role of "accompanying and creating" in the new administrative model, especially in a large area with a rapid urbanization rate like Cu Chi. The Front and socio-political organizations of Cu Chi commune continue to promote the tradition of "Steel land and copper wall", unite in one heart, join hands, and build Cu Chi commune to be more and more civilized, modern, rich, beautiful, and affectionate, worthy of being a bright spot of Ho Chi Minh City.

Cu Chi Commune organized the handover of 3 renovated and repaired houses to policy families in the area.

The Congress elected the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cu Chi commune for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 6 comrades. Comrade Cao Thi Thanh Nhan holds the position of Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cu Chi commune for the new term.
