(Baothanhhoa.vn) - At 3:00 a.m. on August 26, the Thanh Hoa Province Civil Defense Command continued to issue Official Dispatch No. 21 issuing the first alarm on the Ma River at Giang Hydrological Station.

According to the flood warning bulletin on Ma River No. DBLU-35/02h30/THOA dated August 26, 2025 of Thanh Hoa Province Hydrometeorological Station, at 1:00 a.m. this morning, August 26, the water level on Ma River at Giang Hydrological Station was +3.46m (0.54m below BĐI).

In the next 12 hours, the flood water level downstream of the Ma River will continue to rise. The water level on the Ma River at Giang Hydrological Station is likely to reach alarm level I (+4.0m) at 3-5am on August 26 and continue to rise.

The Provincial Civil Defense Command issued a first alert on the Ma River at Giang Hydrological Station, requesting the Chairmen of the People's Committees of the communes and wards: Dong Tien, Ham Rong, Hac Thanh, Quang Phu, Nguyet Vien, Sam Son, Hoang Giang, Hoang Loc, Hoang Chau, Hoang Thanh to immediately deploy dike patrols and protection according to the alarm levels. Organize inspections, reviews and be ready to deploy plans to ensure the safety of dike works; especially key dike points and culverts across the dike in the area. Proactively deploy plans to evacuate people living in the riverbank area. Organize a 24/24 hour duty, closely monitor the development of rain and floods to be ready to handle situations from the first hour; promptly inform and report to the Provincial Disaster Prevention and Control Command Office and the Standing Office of the Provincial Civil Defense Command.

At the same time, the Provincial Civil Defense Command issued Official Dispatch No. 21, issuing a first alarm on the Ma River at the Len Hydrological Station.
