Deputy Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee: There is no big difference in the quality of key personnel

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong said that there is no big difference in the quality of personnel, meeting the standards of capacity, quality and prestige.

On the afternoon of October 17, the Hanoi Party Committee held a press conference after the closing session of the 18th Hanoi Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030. One of the issues that the press was particularly interested in was personnel work at the congress.

At the press conference, Head of the City Party Committee's Organization Committee Ha Minh Hai said that the work of evaluating, selecting and using cadres is identified by Hanoi as one of the breakthroughs in innovation of leadership methods.

According to Mr. Ha Minh Hai, the selection of cadres is done in the spirit of "up and down", objective evaluation based on actual work products and results. Transferring, rotating or changing work positions is considered normal, to create an environment for suitable people to develop their capacity, at the same time helping the apparatus operate more effectively.

“The consistent viewpoint of the City Party Committee is that the evaluation of cadres must be based on evidence, digital data and actual work performance. In particular, the leader is the key factor, monitored and evaluated entirely by data, task performance results and the satisfaction level of people and businesses,” Mr. Ha Minh Hai emphasized.

Regarding the same issue, Nguyen Van Phong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, said that the personnel work of the 18th Hanoi Party Congress was carefully prepared, scientifically , democratically, objectively, and in accordance with procedures and regulations. Thanks to that, the Congress elected 75 comrades to the Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

"That shows that the quality of human resources is carefully prepared, uniform, without large differences, meeting the standards of capacity, quality and prestige," said Nguyen Van Phong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee.

He also said that the 18th Executive Committee elected a Standing Committee of 17 members, including 6 new personnel, ensuring a reasonable age structure of three groups, creating succession and development in the City Party Committee's leadership team.

Notably, four comrades in the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee all received 100% approval votes, demonstrating high trust and consensus. “The election results show the spirit of solidarity, unity and consensus within the entire Party Committee,” the Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee emphasized.
