Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Truong Cong Thai inspected the field at the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Project

On the afternoon of October 17, the working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee led by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Truong Cong Thai inspected the field implementation of the construction of Component Project 3 of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Project, Phase 1 (Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Project).

Component 3 of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Project Phase 1 is managed by the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, with a total route length of 48.09km. The project has a total investment of VND 6,165 billion and was started with the overall project on June 18, 2023.

The working group inspected the field on the construction progress of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Project through Ea Knuec commune.

According to the report of the project investor, the Dak Lak Province Management Board of Projects for Investment in Construction of Traffic Works and Rural Development of Agriculture , as of October 16, 2025, the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Project has reached more than 71.8% of the construction contract value, equivalent to 3,084/4,293 billion VND, but is still about 4.7% behind schedule.

The entire project currently has 35 construction teams, mobilizing 399 equipment and more than 700 workers. The roadbed, bridge, culvert and underpass items have been basically completed. The hot asphalt concrete pavement (BTNR 25 and BTNC19) has only reached 58% to 73% of the volume.

Regarding public investment disbursement, the project has so far implemented 3,078 billion VND, reaching 71.35% of the total allocated capital to date; the capital plan for 2025 alone reaches about 39.5%.

However, the Project is currently facing difficulties in site clearance, mainly in the communes of Vu Bon, Tan Tien, Ea Knuec and Krong Pac. Specifically: some households have not yet handed over their land due to problems with compensation, resettlement or disagreement with the support plan; some households have encroached and are not allowed to construct fences.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Truong Cong Thai and the working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the actual location of the dumping site.

During the field inspection, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Truong Cong Thai requested departments, branches and localities to quickly resolve procedural problems, especially in site clearance. Specifically: quickly issue guidelines related to determining land prices for residential roads and auxiliary works.

In addition, the project investor needs to speed up the construction progress and urge construction contractors to complete the work before the final deadline of December 19, 2025 in order to put the project into use to serve traffic, ensuring technical and quality standards.
