Currently, some areas in the province are still flooded and isolated. The Deputy Prime Minister requested the province to continue to urgently and synchronously deploy measures to ensure the safety of people and property; continue to support the evacuation of people in flooded areas and areas at risk of dangerous landslides to safe places; provide enough food, foodstuffs and essential necessities for people.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the province needs to urgently deploy measures to overcome traffic incidents and infrastructure damaged by floods, stabilize people's lives soon and restore production and business activities. Reporting to the working group, the leaders of Lang Son province and representatives of the police and military forces gave an overview of the implementation of the work of preventing, responding to and overcoming the consequences of storm No. 11, especially the impact of the storm circulation causing heavy rain in the province. The units proposed a number of solutions to speed up the progress of overcoming the consequences of floods and rains, minimizing damage to people and property of the people and the State.

According to a quick report at the inspection, due to the impact of storm No. 11 (storm Matmo), Lang Son province had moderate to heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain. Heavy rain caused a lot of property damage in the province; injuring 2 people. According to initial statistics, the whole province had over 3,000 households affected by collapsed houses, landslides, and flooding; in which communes were severely flooded on a large scale such as: Yen Binh, Van Nham, Huu Lung, Tuan Son, Cai Kinh, That Khe, Trang Dinh, Quoc Viet...
The whole province has over 1,000 hectares of crops flooded, 80 hectares of fruit trees broken, 4 hectares of forest damaged; 9 educational facilities affected; 153 traffic points were eroded and flooded; many bridges, tunnels and roads were partially flooded, landslides of over 20,000 m3; many communes lost electricity and telecommunications networks. Bac Khe 1 hydroelectric dam, Tan Tien commune, was partially broken.
