The culture in cuisine also contributes to creating a Cham eating style that is completely different from other ethnic groups. The unique feature of Cham cuisine and especially the dishes displayed in festivals are not delicacies, expensive dishes... but it has a simple, rustic look like the people attached to this sunny and windy land.
Most of the dishes of the Cham people in Binh Thuan are created on the basis of harmoniously combining locally available ingredients, adding to the ingenuity that has created unique traditional dishes, not only very eye-catching in appearance but also with unforgettable flavors. It can be said that the images of the dishes, those unique flavors are the attraction for people and tourists to come and learn, and those who have experienced will be forever attached.
In recent times, Cham culinary culture in Binh Thuan has also been promoted as a unique tourism product. Especially at the Kate Festival, the Organizing Committee has arranged a separate area to introduce the traditional culture of the Cham people, including cuisine, which always attracts a large number of visitors to learn and enjoy. Thereby, the culinary cultural values of the Cham community are widely promoted to tourists; at the same time, attracting more and more visitors to the festivals of the Cham people in the province.
Binh Thuan has more than 40,000 Cham people. Preserving and promoting the cultural values of the Cham people in the process of building an advanced Vietnamese culture with strong national identity is an important requirement, always receiving special attention from the Party Committee and authorities at all levels in Binh Thuan province. By joining hands to promote diverse traditional cuisine, this not only helps the Cham people improve their economic life, but also contributes to preserving and promoting cultural identity, thereby adding to the richness of Cham cuisine in particular and cuisine in Binh Thuan in general.
